Description
TPU Direct Guide for AMS 2
Printing TPU through long PTFE paths can increase friction and make flexible filaments more difficult to feed consistently.
This simple guide creates a much straighter filament path from the spool to the printer, helping TPU feed more smoothly while keeping the AMS lid remains slightly open.
The AMS lid remains slightly open. TPU should be dried for at least 12 hours before printing. During normal use, such a small gap should not cause any significant problems. However, leaving the filament inside the AMS for several days may allow it to absorb moisture.
The guide simply clips onto the AMS and uses a short piece of standard 1.75 mm filament as the rotating axle. Once assembled, the roller spins freely, reducing drag and allowing the filament to move with minimal resistance.
Features:
-Designed specifically for TPU printing
-Straighter filament path
-Smooth rotating guide
-AMS lid closes normally
-Quick snap-on installation
-No screws or hardware required
-Compatible with any 1.75 mm filament used as the axle
-Printable in PLA, PETG, ABS, ASA or any rigid material
Assembly:
Print all parts.
Insert a short piece of 1.75 mm filament through the roller.
Trim or melt the ends slightly to lock everything in place.
Clip the guide onto the AMS.
Load your TPU spool and start printing.
The assembly takes less than a minute.
If you regularly print flexible materials, this small accessory can noticeably improve filament feeding while keeping the setup clean and compact.
